01 — Services

What exterior work does Pro4mance do?

Everything on the outside of the house, from the ridge of the roof down to the porch steps.

Roofing

Full roof replacement and repairs, including leaks, flashing, pipe boots, and ventilation. See roof replacement and roof repair in London, KY.

Siding

New siding and siding repair, with the trim, house wrap, and flashing around windows and doors that keep water out of the walls. See siding in London, KY.

Windows

Replacement windows fitted to your openings, with exterior flashing and trim sealed so the new window stays dry. See replacement windows in London, KY.

Gutters

Seamless aluminum gutters in 5-inch and 6-inch sizes, color-matched to your trim, with downspouts placed to move water away from the foundation. See seamless gutters in London, KY.

Gutter guards

Micro-mesh, screen, and hood-style guards chosen for the trees over your roof, on existing gutters or with new ones. See gutter guards in London, KY.

Gutter cleaning

One-time and seasonal cleanings with downspout flushing and a check of the whole gutter system, done without damaging your shingles. See gutter cleaning in London, KY.

Porches

New porches and porch roofs, and repairs to soft floors, steps, posts, and railings. See porches in London, KY.

Decks

New decks and deck rebuilds, from framing and decking boards to stairs and railings. See decks in London, KY.

Fascia and soffit

Rotted fascia and damaged soffit replaced, usually alongside gutter or roof work, since overflowing gutters are the most common cause.

Storm repair

Hail and wind damage to roofs, siding, gutters, and windows. You file the insurance claim; we inspect, document the damage, write the estimate, and can meet your adjuster. Kentucky law doesn't allow a contractor to negotiate your claim or to pay, waive, or rebate your deductible, and we don't. See storm damage repair and insurance claims in Kentucky.

02 — One contractor

Why use one contractor for the whole exterior?

Because the roof, siding, gutters, flashing, and trim all meet at the same edges, and most exterior leaks start where one trade's work ends and another's begins.

Picture the corner of a roof. The shingles lap over the drip edge, the drip edge laps into the gutter, the gutter hangs on the fascia, and the siding tucks up under the soffit. Where a roof meets a wall, the step flashing has to tie in behind the siding. A window needs flashing that laps correctly with the siding and house wrap around it. When three different companies each handle one layer, nobody owns the seams, and when a leak shows up, each one can point at the others.

With one contractor, the same crew plans every layer to work together and does the work in the right order. You deal with one schedule instead of three, one cleanup, and one point of contact who knows the whole job. If something isn't right later, you know exactly who to call.

03 — Order of work

Which exterior project should come first?

Usually the roof first, then siding and windows, then gutters, with porches and decks fitted in where they tie into the house.

The roof comes first because the drip edge and flashing have to be set before gutters hang, and roof work done later can scuff new siding or bend new gutters. Windows and siding go together, since window flashing laps into the siding and house wrap. Gutters go on last so they hang on solid fascia and line up with the finished roof edge. Porch and deck work fits in wherever it connects to the house, like a porch roof that meets the main roof or a deck that attaches through the siding.

You don't have to do everything at once. Plenty of homeowners spread exterior work over a few years. If that's your plan, we'll lay out an order that avoids tearing out work you just paid for.

04 — What we don't do

Does Pro4mance do interior work?

No. We don't do interiors, kitchens, or bathrooms and showers.

We stay on the outside of the house on purpose. Exterior work is what our crews know, and keeping our focus there is how we keep the work consistent. If an exterior problem has already caused damage inside, like a stained ceiling under a roof leak, we fix the source outside and tell you plainly that the inside repair belongs with an interior contractor.

05 — Estimates

How does an exterior estimate work?

You call or send a request, we come look at the house, and you get a written estimate that spells out the work.

  1. Call (606) 401-9922 or use the estimate form. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 to 6.
  2. We visit, measure, and look at the parts you asked about, plus the edges where they meet the rest of the exterior.
  3. We show you photos of what we found and explain what needs to be done now and what can wait.
  4. You get a written estimate with the scope, materials, and price for each part of the job.
  5. If you go ahead, we schedule the work in the right order and keep one point of contact through cleanup.

Cost depends on the size of the house, the materials you choose, how much rotted wood has to be replaced, roof pitch and access, and how many projects are combined. The estimate is free, and there's no pressure to do everything on it. We work with homeowners in London and Corbin and across Laurel and Whitley County. Learn more about us.

The company serves London, Corbin, Laurel County, and Whitley County. It does not do interiors, kitchens, or bathrooms. Estimates are free. Call (606) 401-9922.

Is it better to hire one contractor for roofing, siding, and gutters?

For most homes, yes. The roof, siding, gutters, flashing, and trim all meet at the same edges, and leaks often start where one contractor's work meets another's. One contractor can plan every layer to fit together, do the work in the right order, and keep one schedule and one point of contact. If a problem shows up later, there is no question about who is responsible for fixing it.

How much does exterior home improvement cost in London, KY?

The cost depends on which projects you combine and on the house itself. The main factors are the size and height of the home, roof pitch, the materials you choose for roofing, siding, windows, and gutters, how much rotted wood has to be replaced, and how easy the work areas are to reach. Pro4mance visits the house, measures, and gives a written estimate for each part of the job at no charge.
